Fargo Area Sports is excited to announce the appointment of Cora Zackrison as the new Director of Fastpitch and Player Development. Cora brings a wealth of experience and a passion for the sport that aligns perfectly with our mission to develop and support young athletes in the fastpitch community.
Cora has an impressive background in fastpitch. She is an ASA Certified Softball Coach with five years of collegiate coaching experience among the NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III levels, and nine years of experience coaching at the youth and travel level.
Cora received her Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science with a minor in Spanish at Concordia College in Moorhead. While at Concordia, Cora played on the softball team for 4 years and served as the team captain her senior year. After she graduated from Concordia, Cora attended Jamestown College as a Graduate Assistant for the softball team while earning her Master of Arts degree in Leadership with a specialty in Healthcare. After she graduated from Jamestown, Cora went on to be the assistant head coach at University of South Carolina - Beaufort, and 2 years as head coach at Northland College in Ashland Wisconsin.
In her new role, Cora will oversee all aspects of the fastpitch program, including coaching, player development, team and league management, and community outreach. She will also be responsible for building the program’s success and fostering a positive, competitive environment for all players.
We are thrilled to have Cora join our team. Cora's experience and dedication to fastpitch will be a tremendous asset to our organization and the Fargo area community. We are confident that she will take our program to new heights. Cora will officially begin her role on Monday, August 19th.
