Sharpen your skills this fall with our fastpitch pitching camp! Whether you’re just beginning your pitching journey or looking to take your game to a high level, we have an option for every skill level. Players will learn proper mechanics, drills to increase speed and accuracy, and strategies for developing different pitches. We’ll also emphasize arm care, strength building, and the mental side of pitching to help athletes gain confidence in the circle.

Beginners - How to pitch. Fundamentals and Mechanics of Pitching. For players who have never had a lesson and are new to pitching.

Intermediate - Learn to Pitch - Power, Control, and Pitch Introduction. For players who have had some pitching lessons and can throw in a game competitively.

Advanced - Pitch Development and Mental Game. For players who have pitched for multiple seasons and are regular pitchers on a HS age team.

The group guidelines below are meant to serve as a reference. You are welcome to choose a different level if you feel it is a better fit for your player.

Coach Feist began his coaching career in 2015, working with a couple athletes in individual lessons. That spring he began coaching with the West Fargo Packers where he was an assistant coach for two seasons. He has also coached the West Fargo United 16U team for three summers. For the past 4 seasons Coach Feist has been the head coach of the Diamond Academy 16U Travel Team, and has lead them to 2 state titles. In the winters he works with Diamond Academy assisting players from all over the region to obtain their goals. Coach Feist began playing men’s fastpitch in 2009, primarily as a catcher. Today Coach Feist also pitches for his men’s team, though his biggest attribute is his hitting. Coach Feist has been selected as a All-World player at the NAFA World Series twice, including in 2015 when he won a National Championship. He has also had the honor of playing in the distinguished ISC World Tournament. Coach Feist prides himself on his mental approach to the game, and believes it is one of the biggest weapons a young player can have when playing. Coach Feist earned his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in Dec. 2018 and currently works as a Quality Engineer at Doosan Bobcat in Gwinner.

Savy Williams: Savy is a recent graduate from North Dakota State University with a degree in Sports Management and a minor in Business Administration. Additionally, she will be continuing her education in the fall as a Grad Assistant for the VCSU Softball team.

Savy is from Frisco, Texas where she attended Independence High School earning District 9-5A Pitcher of The Year in 2019 and District 9-5A Most-Valuable player in 2021. She was also named to the All-Area 1st Team, Academic All-State Team, and participated in the All-Metroplex All Star Game in 2021. She played for the Texas Glory fastpitch organization when she was recruited to continue her career at NDSU. During Savy's time at NDSU she collected 273 innings of collegiate experience on the mound.

Piper Reed: Piper is a senior pitcher at North Dakota State University. She is originally from Rancho Santa Margarita, California, and grew up playing for the Firecrackers - one of the top travel ball programs in the country!
